Spam Musubi Hawaiian Recipe

What did I eat during my awesome vacation in Hawaii?????  Spam Musubi Rolls!!! I know, you’re saying, “She went all the way to Hawaii to eat Spam?” Not intentionally, of course. Somehow I happened upon these little rolls of deliciousness and I was hooked.  For sure, I had one a day for two weeks.  Nope, I’m not ashamed at all.

I thought since we don’t have very many Hawaiian restaurants around Atlanta maybe I could try to make my own Spam Musubi rolls right at home. After doing a little research on Pinterest, I found a recipe that I think resembled the rolls I had in Hawaii. Check out the recipe from My Lilokoi Kitchen: Spam Musubi Recipe

It was all pretty easy once you get the right ingredients and tools.  Just like my adventure assembling sushi ingredients for my California rolls, I had to search high and low for the right tools…..on Amazon. I’m so glad I renewed my Amazon Prime membership because the musubi mold was at my door in two days.

I was so excited to make this that I ended up buying 10 cans of Spam at Walmart.  Let’s just say that everyone I worked with had a Spam roll for lunch the next day.  If you enjoyed a meal while on vacation, why not try to recreate it at home.  It will definitely bring back memories of all the good times you had during your getaway.
