Restaurant review for Johns Creek, GA - 7 Tequilas Mexican Restaurant

We were starving and wanted something quick and easy, so why not try the new Mexican restaurant that’s right up the street from my house! 7 Tequilas Cantina took the old space from Fronterra and made it their own. I love the decor and feel of the new space, especially the unusual light fixture. They offer comfy booths, tables and bar seating. It’s not a huge space, but they could accommodate a small group comfortably

We were immediately seated at one of the booths by the bar and our server wasted no time getting out our drink order. I’m not a big drinker, but I couldn’t resist trying one of the margaritas.  At our servers suggestion, I tried the 1800 Margarita to get the party started.  The drinks are not watered down at all. Lots of liquor in that 1800 because I felt a little tipsy until I woofed down chips and salsa.

There were a wide variety of menu items that sounded delicious, but didn’t really look so yummy in the pictures on the menu. What’s up with the ugly pictures on menus these days??? Some of these restaurants need to hire a few savvy Yelpers for pics. Anyhoo, I settled on a simple chicken fajita and my friend went for street tacos.

Restaurant review for Johns Creek, GA - 7 Tequilas Mexican Restaurant We demolished two bowls of chips and salsa pretty quickly. Our food came out fairly fast and smelled amazing. All the while, our friendly server was just the right amount of attentive. Not too much in your face, but always made sure I didn’t have to ask for anything.

My fajitas were perfect; well seasoned and not too salty. My fajita plate came put sizzling and popping.  I love the sound of food! LOL! It smelled divine and I couldn’t wait to dig in. I didn’t hear a peep from my dinner mate because he was busy stuffing tacos in his face.  I wanted to try one, but didn’t want to risk losing a hand.

I’m definitely a fan of 7T and will be back again and again.
