If you’ve read my other five posts about this bedroom makeover, you’ll be happy to know that it’s finished. Well, finished for this go around until my daughter finds her first home. This room was a time capsule from 1990 with popcorn ceilings and pink carpet. Not only did we have pink carpet, but somehow we thought hunter green and burgundy would be a great match. Why not just throw that wallpaper on the wall with a duck border and red ceiling fan to go with that pink carpet??? Dad used this space for years and was quite comfortable until we made over the bonus room. You can check out that renovation here.

We pretty much touched every surface in this room and changed it in some way. You can read about it here from the beginning. We literally started with the ceiling and worked our way all the way down the floor. There are so many small changes that added up to the overall room makeover and we now have a newly renovated space for guests to enjoy, eventually!

DIY small bedroom makeover with before/after photos showing how to remove wallpaper and popcorn ceilings and add new laminate flooring on a budget.

After purging the 90’s by removing the popcorn, pulling up the pink carpet, replacing/adding molding, installing a new ceiling fan, painting and adding new furniture, this makeover on a budget is finally complete.
